Single tickets
An hour of pure movement: back and forth, round and round
The single ticket (60 minutes) is suitable for a train or bus journey, a return journey or several successive journeys within the town.
Fare: 15 cents per kilometre, rounded up to the next 50 cents.
Minimum fare per journey: 1.50 EUR.
Where to buy
- on the südtirolmobil app (single trip or combined route);
- at südtirolmobil ticket offices;
- on board of regional buses (single journey only);
- at the südtirolmobil ticket vending machines at the stations;
- on regional trains, single-fare tickets can be purchased directly from the on-board staff at an additional cost of 5 EUR. There is no surcharge if you've boarded the train at a station with no ticket counter or ticket vending machine.
- Single tickets to Trento and Lavis are also available at www.trenitalia.com.
Validity
- Single-fare tickets can be bought up to 2 months in advance. Once validated, they can be used for 3 hours and only for uninterrupted journeys without stopovers.
- With the südtirolmobil app, the ticket does not have to be purchased in advance, but just before the journey. If you buy it too early, e.g. a month before the journey, the ticket may not be visible in the ticket section.
Ticket validation
- Single ticket: Validate your ticket before you start your journey. The latest ticket readers with QR codes are available at stations and on buses. Validation is simple: place your ticket at the bottom of the validating machine and wait for the green OK on the screen and the audible signal.
- Return ticket: Journeys must be made on the same day and must be validated before the start of each journey.

- on Citybuses and directly from ticket machines on board of urban buses in the Bozen/Bolzano - Leifers/Laives area (coins only, no change).
Note: It is advisable to buy tickets in advance when travelling by urban bus in Meran/Merano and environs, as on some routes it is not possible to buy tickets on board.
Validity
- The single ticket can be used for journeys with buses in the urban area of Bozen/Bolzano - Leifers/Laives and Meran/Merano or for journeys with Citybuses in the same tariff zone.
- The urban single ticket is valid for 60 minutes from the first validation for a single tariff zone. During this time, you can make several journeys within the same town.
