Nightliner

Safe travels by bus on a Saturday night

A close-knit network of bus services covering almost all of South Tyrol, scheduled to run throughout Saturday nights: a total of 19 main lines connecting a whole host of popular meeting points, cities and villages in all parts of South Tyrol – plus a comprehensive network of shuttle services whose departures are coordinated to match the return journeys of the Nightliner service, aiming to provide party-goers with a safe and sound way back home throughout the night.

Fares and tickets

The following applies to all Nightliner and shuttle services:

  • single ticket on Nightliner main lines: 3 EUR. Tickets are available on board and online.
  • night pass for any number of Nightliner journeys within one night (main lines): 5 EUR. Tickets are available on board, from ticket machines and online.
  • The use of the Nightliner shuttle services is free of charge from 16 December, no ticket is required.

If you have a Südtirol Pass

All Südtirol Pass and Euregio Family Pass tickets are valid on any of the main Nightliner routes. The same applies if you’ve activated the option to pay for additional services on your Südtirol Pass abo+ or Südtirol Pass 65+ subscription. To pay for a single journey, all you need to do is check in. If you make more than one journey, the maximum total fare you will pay is that of a night pass (5 EUR).

You can also check in to validate the selected journey – or the entire trip – online on your smartphone before the journey begins.  Our Best-Price-Cap guarantee means that even if you make more than one journey, the maximum total fare you will pay is 5 EUR.

Südtirol Pass free holders can use all Nightliner and shuttle services free of charge by simply checking in or showing their ticket at the time of boarding.

Please note that Nightliner journeys do not count towards your Südtirol Pass mileage, and that it is not possible to transport pets or bicycles on Nightliner services. N1, N35 and N13 (Bolzano/Bozen and Merano/Meran): These inner-city evening services are not part of the Nightliner network. Nightliner tickets and fares therefore do not apply here.

Mobile Ticketing

Nightliner and shuttle service tickets are also available online from the südtirolmobil ticket shop. This means that passengers without a Südtirol Pass or abo+ can use their smartphone to buy the tickets for Nightliner services and check in online before starting their journey without having to register first.

How to buy your ticket online

In the südtirolmobil app, click on the lilac icon to go to the ticket shop and select the ticket you’d like to buy. Enter the name of the ticket holder and how many tickets you need. Then enter your credit card details to pay.

How to check in

Once the purchase is complete, the digital ticket can be found in the ticket overview (“Ticket” icon). Before starting your journey, remember to check in and validate your Nightliner tickets online by clicking on the “Check in now” button. From that moment, the ticket will be displayed as “active” and you can board the Nightliner service. If you are using a night pass, you only need to check in once before your first journey.

To show your “active journey” – when boarding or at the request of a member of staff – click on the lilac bar code icon and then the blue “Check validity” button. A green frame and the status “active journey” indicating the time of check-in mean that your Nightliner ticket is valid.
