All of South Tyrol heads to the Stegen/Stegona Market

Once again, from October 26 to 28, the long-awaited event is back

Once a year, all of South Tyrol makes a pilgrimage to Stegen/Stegona, a district of Bruneck/Brunico, for the largest market in Tyrol. Visiting the Stegen/Stegona Market has long been a must, especially for those looking to prepare well for the coming winter.

From October 26 to 28, it's that time again: for three days, Stegen/Stegona transforms into a vibrant sea of stalls, scents, and voices. Everything needed for the cold season is on offer from warm clothing and handcrafted goods to traditional culinary delights.

This year, ongoing construction work for the new Pustertal/Val Pusteria railway poses a particular challenge for traffic. To ensure that all visitors can still travel comfortably and without stress, the rail replacement service between Brixen/Bressanone and Bruneck/Brunico using line B400 buses will be significantly reinforced on all three market days.

In addition to the regular service, an extra bus will run every 30 minutes during the following times:

  • From Brixen/Bressanone: 08:38 – 16:08
  • From Bruneck/Brunico: 09:19 – 17:19

The bus stop is located directly at Bruneck/Brunico train station, just a short walk from the event area, making the journey especially convenient.

In Upper Pustertal, trains will continue to run every 30 minutes as usual. This ensures sufficient capacity to bring all visitors safely and comfortably to Bruneck/Brunico and back.

Using public transport and leaving your car at home is a sustainable choice and a valuable contribution to relieving traffic congestion on the valley’s main roads.
